Be still our beating hearts, “Winter is coming”. Yeah, you know what that means Game of Thrones season 7 is just around the corner. While they have traditionally debuted the show in the spring, they are going to be showing it in the Summer this time. According to executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the story line is going to be better served for their filming when the weather is changing. So, we can be ready for Game of Thrones 2017 very soon. For those like me who are huge fans of the series we have been counting down since the last episode and rewatched the show countless times to keep ourselves entertained. But in a few weeks, the wait will be over!
What GOT Will Involve
Obviously, no one but the writers and cast knows exactly what GOT season 7 will be all about. So, the Game of Thrones 2017 season is apparently going to have seven episodes. It’s coming on July 16 and the premiere episode is said to be 58 minutes long. That’s the longest that one of their premieres has been in three years and all of the stars are going to have more screentime for the coming year. Yes! Last season ended with all of us on baited breathe as one of the greatest battles took place but, based on sneak peeks and the trailer the battle has only just begun. War is heading to Westeros in the form of Dragons, Unsullied, White Walkers and more.
The below trailer has given us some insights on what to expect from the next season and that is of course who will eventually sit on the Iron Throne. But, if the war against the White Walkers is not won then who will claim the Iron Throne? Take a look at the trailer below (WARNING: this trailer induces goosebumps)
More GOT Details
There are many Entertainment Weekly covers about GOT at the moment. These covers seem to show that season 7 is going to be filled with wolves. This, of course, makes sense since the season is all about the House Stark and its children. During an interview, Benioff said, “It’s two more seasons we’re talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that’s what we’ll end up with. Call it 73 for now.”
Season 7 was filmed on location in Iceland and Spain this means we will be seeing a fair amount of footage from “Beyond the Wall” while the terrain of “Kings Landing” is more suited to Spain.
